Introduction to using LLMs in Education (MGIS, 2024)

I went back to my alma mater, Mahatma Gandhi International School to lead a workshop on using LLMs for Education. As part of the workshop, we also built custom GPTs. One example is a GPT that teachers can bounce-off ideas with for lesson plans according to the school's unique pedagogy that is inspired by constructivist ideas.

In this talk at Friday Hacks, I share my journey building systems that scaled to thousands of users—from NUS class attendance bots to COVID food delivery systems. I cover behind-the-scenes stories, transitioning from prototypes to real-world applications, and even earning academic credit for 'failed' experiments.
